About the Vidyalaya
JNV Raigarh (CG) is one among the 556 flourishing Navodaya Vidyalayas in the country under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resources of Development, Govt. of India. New Delhi. It is situated at Bhupdevpur, 25 Kilometers away from District Head Quarters on Howrah – Mumbai Railway line. It is also approachable by Bus Services from Bilaspur & Raigarh on NH 200 route.
The Vidyalaya campus is located in the lap of Bountiful Nature of Chhattisgarh State. Over looking the Campus is the famous tourist resort “RAM JHARNA” in the boarding mountain on North. Ram Jharna: It is about 18 Kms. from the District Head quarters. It has a natural water source. According to History, Bhagwan Ram once had been here during his Vanwas, and had drank water from the water source. Hence the name Ram Jharna. It is a very good picnic spot.
“SINGHANPUR GUMPHA”, the Historical Caves with cultural testimony also lie in the vicinity. Beset in this backdrop the Vidyalaya campus has been bestowed with serene atmosphere due to the surrounding crop fields & patches of rural habitations. .
The Vidyalaya was established in 1992-93 and has been constantly toddling up to reach to the targets & aspirations with pristine and sincere efforts. In short span, it has achieved commendable figures to carve a niche in the echelons of Indian Education today. My School My Home is the basic principle followed to foster the sense of genuine belongingness among the learners here. Cultivation of National Integration, Civic Sense & Academic Excellence is conducted safeguarding the pristine potential of each child along-with their cultural heritage.
The Vidyalaya is adopting computer technology in academics & office system for the smooth management of all aspects of teaching learning systems. Integration of Computer Technology in Class Rooms is practiced by all teachers. The office Accounting & Ledgering system is being maintained through "Tally software" and so it is a front runner school in this aspect.
